Wacko Week!

My week already started out wacko because I started my period on Sunday! That's WAY WAY earlier than it should have started. Should have started today actually! Maybe that's a good thing, it's just about OVER! But, I still can't get online to play because starting Monday, it's Spring Break around here for my kids. My timing sucks. Anyway, Sunday night my oldest is complaining of a sore throat. I check his temp and he's 103.1! Plop him into a cool shower, dose him up with Tylenol and Triaminic and off to bed he goes. Of course, Monday he feels too yucky to go to school (Yes, we saw that coming!). Fever stays away most of the day, but towards late afternoon, it starts spiking again. I make a call to the doc, so that if it is Strep Throat, we can get some antibiotics started. She checks him out and says "It's either Strep Throat or Mono!". They do the throat swabs, the "quick" test comes back negative for strep, but tells us that it's not a very sensative test. She tells me NOT to start the antibiotics just yet, because if it is Mono, he'll break out in a red rash all over. He feels like crap all week, misses school naturally. Today he's finally back to school and I find out today that he has Mono (the kissing disease...lol!!!)and not Strep. Hmmm....is that good or bad...lol!

It's funny, cuz I remember back when I was in High School, you were "COOL" if you got Mono...hahahaha! I wonder if it's the same these days??!!?!

Anyways, I won't be *live* anytime next week either since they're out of school. We did have plans to go out of town, but I think hubby's work just put a damper in those plans...GRRRRR!
